"Sparks from the fire rise out to the sky..."
Like a good girl, I went to sleep early. I'd been asleep for about an hour when I'm shot out of my sleep by "To Zanarkand" coming blaring from downstairs.
"Oh," I think, "It's probably Sister's boyfriend. Probably brought his copy to play." Then my brain reminds me, Hey, tonight's Thursday. Someone's playing with the PS2 that shouldn't be there.
So, the fear response has got me awake. I creep down the stairs, not knowing what to think or do.
Then I find that it's my dad, testing out unlabeled CD's on the system downstairs, to check to see where all of his photos have gone.
And now, sleep.
