...and let the fanfiction whoring continue. Let the KuSeZa continue! And if anyone catches all of the references, then you're either doing something you said you wouldn't, you're some sort of a stalker, or maybe you're [livejournal.com profile] yohtan or [livejournal.com profile] artimusdin.

Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Characters: Sephiroth, Zack, Cloud
Prompt: #96-100 Writer's Choice
Word Count: 484 in total
Rating: PG-13 - R

#96: Trinity

None of them could decide what they should call the relationship, the fusion of friendship and camaraderie and what they all knew was love but didn't admit to. Titles really didn't matter, not when they were in a jumble of limbs on Sephiroth's large bed on a lazy weekend morning.

"Damn it, Zack! Your feet are freezing!"

"But your back's so nice and warm, Spike..."

"Children, please."

"We'll behave, Mommy."

Lazy, certainly, but never peaceful. Soldiers didn't fare well with peace, anyway.

#97: Spectator's Sport

Zack liked to watch.

It wasn't only that his scheme had paid enormous dividends, though that had a lot to do with it. "Friends with benefits" was probably the best invention to ever happen to relationships. No, that wasn't all of it. The rest was what he was surrounded by gorgeousness on all sides while reaping the benefits. Gold and silver and pale skin becoming flushed...

Shallow, definitely. But there was something oddly satisfying about being able to watch the fruits of your labor. Live. And get to participate.

He decided to gorge on the eye-candy as long as he could.

#98: Death Be...

Get angry, and stay that way. Forget. Forget about the three of them. It couldn't go back to that, not after this. The body outside, the girl below, and Cl--Strife no where to be found. Se--the Bastard was inside, waiting.

Get angry. Forget.

Time to see if he'd learned anything.

#99: In the Company of God

Nothing else mattered now. Not his lack of a number, not the stranger in the photograph, not the fact that She died...

The only thing that mattered was that he had arrived at the Reunion, just like He had told him to. He had brought the Black Materia, just like He had told him to. He would summon Meteor, just like He said He would...

The Failure delighted at his chance to be so close to Him, even closer than any of the Successes.

Sephiroth was his universe.

#100: Reign Over Empires

Sephiroth had never expected the celebrity. He was simply doing his job, after all. But there were celebrations and speeches and interviews and photographs... So many photographs...

Zackary had a field day, of course. He also managed to get into some of the shots, himself. As if all of Gaia hadn't descended on Sephiroth by then, all he needed was an image of his aide doing something moronic ending up on the front page of the Times. Sephiroth decided to see it as another fight, and one that would be trying, though one he would win.

Those images that did go off to the Times were carefully collected by some more devoted than most. They'd eventually scatter throughout other parts of Shinra's empire, the number of admirers growing.

A hastily, badly printed copy of General Sephiroth's back was the first image in a particular collection, buried in a box hidden in the smallest house in Nibelheim.
