IRL question, this time.

Next month (in five weeks, to be exact), I'm going to be heading off to Peru to visit family. I'd like to know your suggestions for a Sensible Walking Shoe/Sandal that I could wear during the trip. I've got broken in sneakers, but I want to make sure that I don't scream Dumb Tourist all the time. (My parents say I'll be screaming Dumb Tourist once I start speaking in Spanish...) I don't know how much walking we'll be doing during said trip, but something that I could wear for a long time would be best.
