Remember when I was kind of WTF over the casting of The Last Airbender? The folks over at Racebending.com have decided to petition Paramount over the WTFery. This is me getting of my lazy ass to get you off your lazy ass and sign the petition. Here is a lovely image link to tell you the same:

So. The Last Airbender has a cast.

As quoted in Fandom Lounge:

After an open casting call in Texas, Shyamalan discovered karate star Noah Ringer and offered him the part of Airbender's 12-year old hero, Aang, an Avatar with superpowers who must stop the Fire Nation from destroying the world. Twilight's Jackson Rathbone has been asked to play Aang's pal Sokka, while Nicola Peltz (Deck the Halls) will star as his sister Katara. Genial singer Jesse McCartney, meanwhile, is negotiating to play against type in the role of the Fire Nation's evil prince Zuko." (Emphasis added by FL)

Yeah, I only picked up on the last bit, first, because lol, Roxas wants to be Zuko, and they dual wield, etc.

But Jesus, no actors of color? Could not afford the blue, green, and amber contacts for them? Lame casting is lame. (sigh) I think I'll just get the other boxed sets and marathon this shiz.
