So I'd wanted to start in on the Seven Deadly Sins Meme that's going around, but I've got to prepare the post first. First is Pride, and... um... yeah, that'll take a bit.

Anyway, I've been reading The Name of the Wind recently and I'm at the halfway point. I didn't expect to get through it this quickly, but since most of the chapters are pretty short, I can get a few in while I'm waiting on students or for my car to warm up or whatever. So, four hundred plus pages in, and four thoughts are in my mind:

1. I want to punch Kvothe in the face.
2. Who would win in a fight, Kvothe or Sol Badguy?
3. What would "Through the Fire and the Flames" sound like on a seven string lute?
4. How can I convince someone to write crossover fic that involves Kvothe playing Queen on the lute for Sol?
