Working quite a bit at the language school. Feeling like my advanced classes are somewhat like Amerikajin no Shiranai Eigo [The English Americans Don't Know], only without my being a charisma clerk.
senkami finally wore at my head enough and I got Dynasty Warriors VII. My square button will never forgive me.
I'm feeling uncreative, but I am writing. Don't know when it'll show up. In the meantime, I am biting off
tir_synni and
jukeboxhound and posting my Christmas drabbles. General warning spam and for the explanations behind the themes being longer than the damn drabbles. Posts forthcoming, because I can't be assed with formatting LJ cuts and headings.

Title: "Questions, Comments, or Concerns"
Fandom/original: Final Fantasy VII
Characters: Zack and hapless OC's
Rating: G
Word count: 100
Notes: AU. AU. AU. Zack's female, a university TA, and working for one of my FFVII OC's. This is the type of high-grade WTF that comes with a decade of friendship.
"Uh, Ms. Fair? I've got a question about number three." The class turned to the sacrificial lamb. "I don't remember Dr. Heiral going over this set type in lecture..."
Zack smiled her kindest, most gentle smile. "That's because he didn't." There were scattered sighs of relief. "You were supposed to learn how to solve these sets in 250. And, if you remember Dr. Heiral's first two lectures, the syllabus, the catalogue, and the course website, 250 is a required pre-req." Her smile grew.
"So... get solving." Some anvils just needed to be dropped.
The classroom was airier next recitation.

Fandom/original: The Twelve Kingdoms
Characters: Gyousou and Taiki
Rating: PG - 13
Word count: 100
Notes:
canis_m asked for Gyousou and Taiki or for Fang and Vanille. Both of these pairings, experts agree, are made of win. I attempted the Fang and Vanille to get write some sort of femmeslash but it didn't seem to go anywhere, so GyouTai it was.
The pavillion had been made with kirin in mind: leather was replaced by silk, furs with thick wool. Having company helped against the lonliness and cold, though rustling blankets and a rush of air told Taiki that his bedmate might want more than quiet.
"Master Gyousou? If we move around too much, we'll sweat and grow cold again."
Gyousou looked up and smiled. "I'll be gentle, then."
Taiki squirmed at Gyousou's kisses, punctuated by the occasional nip. Familiar enough with Gyousou's ardor, he wondered what "being gentle" meant for cold nights in a pavillion.
He'd have the night to learn.

Title: "When I Was"
Fandom/original: Final Fantasy VII
Characters: Cloud and Sephiroth
Rating: R
Word count: 100
Notes:
jukeboxhound wanted Sephiroth/Cloud, with the prompt "There was history here." Of course, of course my brain goes into the angst place and never looks back.
Cuts heal if you didn't pick at the scabs, yet Cloud picked. Memories flowed and he was sixteen again and scanning for a mix of silver and black in the middle of the blaze.
He was sixteen again and swallowing his moans and ignoring sticky sheets and silver hair was everywhere but they didn't mind it. Later, Zack wouldn't mind Cloud's baggy eyes and marked neck.
He was sixteen again and being impaled. "Don't press your luck." Press against the sword instead, and move away from the brink.
He was twenty-three again and bore scars. There was history here.

Title: "The One that I Want"
Fandom/original: Final Fantasy VII
Characters: Zack and Cloud
Rating: R
Word count: 100
Notes:
tir_synni wanted Zack and Cloud crack. And then there was this post. Yeah, now you know about the title, and knowing is half the battle.
Cloud know everyone was staring, which was the point. He and Aerith--she was... enthousiastic when Cloud mentioned his crush--had spent a week planning.
So here he was: in leather jacket, boots, and indecently tight pants and approaching Zack. And Cloud forgot what do to first.
Zack saw him and grinned. "Why the makeover, Cloud?"
"You... don't like the leather?" Cloud forgot about keeping his voice lower.
"The leather's great, but you didn't have to do a 180 just for me." Zack's face took on a wicked smirk. "Though now, I've got an excuse to take off your pants."
