In Which I Rant... About a Muhmorpuguh?

Same old, same old. I'll get around to the prompts, really! I just... er... Okay, so Nova Fabula is my mistress again and I might be doing FFX-HD after I'm done and then maybe something nice and old school like Suikoden afterwards? Fine. I'll shut up about my gaming queue and get to what the hell the title is about.

Driving to work, I heard NPR talking about Omnitopia. I'm still weirded out when NPR does stuff about games. Like the time when All Things Considered talked about FFXIII or when Sound Check discovered Guilty Gear. I just... NPR is my SRS BIZ time, and they're talking about MMO's. Well, okay, so we're talking about people with more money than God, so I guess it counts. It's still about games, so... yeah... Tumblr, being Tumblr is doing a collective squeefest and someone over on Fandom Lounge started in on some of the 'cosoms that are available on the thing.

Okay, so I was pretty tempted. I... I still don't know, though. I've always been a console sort of girl, and I'm still leery about subscription services for games.

Oh! and Clairvoyant is also following people spamming the shit out of Tumblr feeds and freaking DW of all places for Infinite Worlds. Nothing wanky yet, but I'll expect once the Omnitopia expansion hits there there will be something. Maybe an 8.8 sort of something? That said, I've had to deal with paid squeeing (Come on, like you can't tell...) over IW when I go to work. The joys of being in a college town. It's bad enough that I can see one of Infinity's motherships from some parts of my town, I also get to see and hear it when I go to work.

I guess I can be glad that no one's spammed my journals yet.

Isn't there supposed to be Epic Amounts of Shit between Dev Logan and Phil Sorensen? Can someone do a Bad Penny on this? I am hella bored and want something to read over the weekend... ETA: And TVTropes comes through!

Okay, time to actually work on the queue. Or be a good girl and plan for next week. Oh, whatever.
