So, Peru's going into the second round of its presidential elections. (Voting is next weekend.) My parents have been following it, and tonight was a presidential debate. (Hooray for satellite services.) I sort of followed it, but was occupied in cleaning. The announcer started talking about polls to find the winner of the debate. My dad scoffed and said that no one won.
Translated from the Spanish.
Me: Why?
Dad: They're missing something. You know how a doctor walks, right?
Me: Shoulders straight, high bearing, walks quickly.
Dad: Right. These two... they're missing something. You don't look at them and say 'That, damn it, is my President'.
Me: (The ouki?)
The Mysterious Cities of Gold is getting a sequel. (Hey, any excuse to start watching it again...) Thanks for letting me know, F!S.
So,
artimusdin has been pushing me to get into The Dresden Files. I went and tachiyomi'd part of the first book at a bookstore, and was kind of underwhelmed.
artimusdin assured me that they get better, so I suppose I'll go along with them at my own pace. But dear Lord I've got this epic to-read queue. At least I'm being somewhat of a good girl and borrowing books where I would've bought them before.
Bought a book with cross-stitch patterns (oops), and finally set down patterns for the cross stitch gifts I promised approximately a million internet years ago. I am sure it will take another million internet years to actually sew and mount the things. But still, progress.
