So, I'm taking an introductory class in digital media. First was everyone's favorite, Photoshop. I figure that I should slap up what I've done, for some sort of encouragement to myself. Besides, how else am I going to show off what I'll be learning?

Project One: Break It Down

The thing here is that we were supposed to do alterations to a source image within five steps. I pretty much altered it like I always to for my layouts, but I still rather like it, so up it goes.

Project Two: Civic Improvements

In which we take the starting image of the WTF mahdahn ahrt statue outside of the building where we have class (name: Tuning Fork Oracle) and replace it with something else. Whoring of the clone brush ensues. I am damn proud of the bits above my replacement, and I know I got a little slap-dash with the bottom of it. I was getting beat. You can still tell it's pastede on, but I think I can understand how to make things blend into the shadows a bit more from this.

Thanks. I wanted to be nerdy and put up the picture of the monument from Advent Children, but then I decided that sucking up would be better if I could get a good background going and thinking more about making the lighting work.

The first one was scanned from this book on the Renaissance that I'm reading for Soul Series research. I thought it was cool, so in it went, and I got textures for free from the scan!
