artimusdin, I blame you.
Aerith stared at the shopping bag. It had taken her weeks to screw up enough courage to go into Sector Six in order to buy them. Hearing a few rumors about what it was that Soldiers did after-hours finally pushed her to do it. She'd hidden the bag well enough, though her mom never really went into her room much anymore.
She was giddy. Not first-date-first-kiss giddy, not even first-time giddy. She'd finally admitted that she liked this sort of thing, and thought that maybe Zack might like it, too. Those rumors certainly helped things along. When she asked Tseng about it, he looked at her like she went crazy. So maybe she was, just a little, to like this.
Aerith peeked inside the bag and smiled. He'd be here soon.
"Aerie! Open up!"
Aerith let out a small squeal and ran down the stairs. She was excited enough that Zack was visiting--time off for him was getting more and more rare, and they had to make sure her mom wasn't home--but her plans made the wait almost unbearable. She unlocked the door and nearly knocked him over. Well, maybe not, since Soldiers First Class probably were better about balance and things, but she had just about pounced him anyway.
Zack smiled. "Glad to see you, too."
Aerith smiled back. "I've got a surprise for you."
"Oh? Do I have to close my eyes?" He did so and puckered his lips. A second later he stuck out his tongue and swished it around. He put on a mock-pout. "That wasn't very nice, you know, being a tease like that."
Aerith giggled. "No, no, it's upstairs." She grabbed his hand and led him up towards her room.
Zack stopped at the base of the stairs. What now? "Aerith Gainsborough, you've never been this forward. Ever. Something is up."
She pouted. Zack was a sucker for her pouts. "Ack-ack," she wheedled, "It's part of the surprise. If I tell you, then it's not a surprise. Just come upstairs with me."
Zack sighed in defeat. "You win, but I expect payment." Aerith kissed the tip of his nose. "Nope, that won't do. I'll cash in later on, after this surprise." He let himself be led up the stairs and into her room.
The bag from Sector Six was still on her bed, waiting for the both of them. "I was doing some shopping a few days ago," Aerith started, "And I thought that these might look nice on you." She'd practiced that statement a few times, but she was still nervous about actually telling him. She darted for the bag and threw it at him, starting to blush. She was really going for the throat on this one. "Um, I hope you like it."
Zack stared at her blankly, then looked down at the bag. She silently prayed he didn't recognize the store's name. It looked like he didn't, as he reached inside. His hand emerged with a wad of lace and ruffles. "Aerie, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that these are panties."
Aerith was beet red now. "Well, they are."
Zack blinked slowly. "Aerie, babe, these are women's panties. I'm a guy. You see the problem?"
Aerith bit her lip. "I thought you might look nice in them," she repeated. "It's not just panties. There's a chemise in there, too." She paused, and then went in for the kill. "Besides, you've got a nice ass."
Zack did a double-take.
"It's true! You do have a nice ass! You'd look great! I made sure that it matched your skin and everything!"
Zack didn't know whether to be flattered, scared, or amused. He settled on a healthy combination of the three. She did complement his ass, but this was Aerith Gainsborough. Still, it was fun to see that even the sweet and innocent could harbor a kink. At least it wasn't leather, like some Soldier generals he could name...
"...and I won't take too many pictures, and they'll be just for me, I promise."
